American-born Nancy Fouts (1945—2019) was best known for her distinctive sculptural works, which reconfigure commonplace objects and materials with a characteristically playful and provocative humour. Combining Surrealism, Dada and Pop Art, her work brings together seemingly disconnected objects and ideas to revel in the inherent strangeness of the everyday. A retrospective of her work was recently held to wide acclaim at Flowers Gallery, London.

the wind in the trees is excited to have been involved in the design, production and publication of this major first monograph for the artist, the full realisation of which was made possible by a successful Kickstarter fundraising campaign.

A limited edition ‘double-bound’ unopenable and unreadable edition (now sold out) was also produced.
