Enzo Apicella, born in Naples in 1922, is a fearless, iconoclastic artist, cartoonist, designer and restaurateur — “one of the creators of the Swinging Sixties.”.
His cartoons have been published in The Observer, The Guardian, Punch, The Economist, Private Eye, and Harpers & Queen and he continues to design and decorate restaurants in Rome, London and around the world.
He also disseminates fiercely politcally-committed cartoons — savage, tender, heartbreaking, hilarious — a new one nearly one every day, and we are immensely proud to announce the publication of a selection of these amazing expressions of a wild, irrepressible spirit.
